Florida Digestive Health Specialist is seeking an experienced, energetic, and professional Practice Administrator to lead a single practice team.

The ideal candidate will bring the following to bear on the job: strong leadership, supervision of vendors, administration of business operations, financial tracking and management and active implementation of strategic initiatives as directed. The PA will rely on business, finance, and operations management experience to proactively advise the Physician on practice management issues and explore future strategic opportunities.


  • Maintain organized office operations and procedures: prepare payroll; controlling correspondence; design filing systems; review and approve supply requisitions; assign and monitor clerical functions.
  • Keep open lines of communication by leading monthly staff meetings/calls and participating in monthly Office Administrators meeting in our corporate office.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; prepare monthly financial benchmark reports
  • Increase physician and mid-level productivity by providing monthly productivity and quarterly reports with analysis of individual and overall results.
  • Enhance the overall patient experience by providing training to staff on customer service, telephone etiquette and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Oversee scheduling of clinical and front desk staff to ensure clinics adhere to company standard staffing ratios with minimal overtime expense.
  • Optimize patient care delivery through review and/or audit of internal and external patient reviews.
  • Maintain office support staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintain office staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Build a strong team environment with consistent communication, clear expectations, responsiveness, and ongoing practice improvement.
  • Oversee and participate in physician recruitment


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration preferred
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the management of medical group operations or health care administration
  • Proven success in employee recruiting and retention
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with management of EMR
  • Superior communication and management skills.
